Upcoming Tata Electric Cars That Should Excite You

 

Tata Motors is the current leader in the quickly-growing Indian EV segment, with a market share of a whopping 80%. With the automaker planning to launch up to 10 EVs in the next 5 years, we take a look at 5 of them that’s launching in the next 2-3 years.



TATA ALTROZ EV

The Tata Altroz EV was first revealed during the 2020 Auto Expo and is slated to be launched by the end of 2022. The Altroz EV will be powered by the same Ziptron setup as the Nexon EV.

TATA SIERRA EV

Also showcased first at the 2020 Auto Expo, the Tata Sierra EV is of the most awaited upcoming launches. The electric SUV will be based on Tara’s Sigma platform. Expect the Sierra EV to be launched sometime in 2024.

TATA AVINYA EV

Tata’s latest EV concept to be revealed, the Avinya will be the first EV to use the brand’s GEN 3 ‘Born Electric’ architecture. The platform will support a variety of body types. The Avinya EV is slated for a late 2024 - early 2025 launch.

 TATA PUNCH EV

Since declaring that all Tata models that are based on the ALFA platform will get electric version, it has been speculated that the new Punch will get an EV form soon. The subcompact SUV is most likely to be powered by Ziptron powertrain that is currently used by the likes of the Nexon and Tiago EV.

TATA CURVV EV

The Tata Curvv electric SUV Coupe concept is probably among the most exciting projects the brand has ever done. To be underpinned by the same X1 platform as the Nexon EV, the Curvv will be longer and feature a lengthened wheelbase to fit the bigger battery. Upon launch, the Curvv will compete against the likes of the Hyunda Kora EV and the MG ZS EV.
