Which of the New Audi Car Models is the Safest?

 

In the recent times, safety has become one of the top priorities of customers buying a new car. While the budget car brands more often than not fail safety tests, the German car brand ‘Audi’ has always faired well in these test. Renowned for making safe cars, Audi car models come with some top-of-the-line active and passive safety features.



For the record, as part of its R&D process, all Audi car models have been undergoing rigorous crash testing since the 1930s. This ensures the best safety standard for passengers in the event of a crash. Additionally, Audi car was the first brand to introduce the concept of crumple zone (1950), which reduces the impact of the crash inside the cabin.

Audi cars recently launched two new models in India which come loaded with a wide variety of safety technologies on board. The latest in line is the Q3 entry luxury SUV which is equipped with multiple assistant systems like Hill Start Assist, Parking Aid Plus, Electromechanical parking brake, ESC, Cruise Control with Limited and more. It also gets six airbags, TPMS and ISOFIX child seat anchors and a top tether for outer rear seats to enhance the safety of the passengers.

Net is the flagship sedan model of Audi cars, the A8L. Priced at Rs 1.29 crore, this Audi car model comes with safety systems like Park Assist with Parking Aid Plus, Audi Pre Sense Basic, Cruise Control with Speed Limiter, Head-Up Display and more. In addition, it also packs in Adaptive Air Suspension, Predictive Active Suspension, Quattro 4WD  system with self-locking centre differential, Dynamic all-wheel steering, and multiple airbags.

As an optional extra, the German carmaker also offer the Safety Package plus that adds functions to increase front occupants’ safety and comfort. The package introduces a new  central airbag between the front passengers that helps reduce the risk of injury due to collisions between occupants in the event of a side crash and vehicle rollover. Crash active front and rear headrests are also a part of this package. This makes the Audi A8L the safest Audi cars in the country.
