The 2022 Ertiga Facelift is expected to launch on 22 April 2022
Engine and Transmission
The 2022 Ertiga Facelift will get a major powertrain upgrade. The updated MPV will adapt the new 1.5 litre K15C Dual jet engine with 103 bhp of power and 136 Nm of torque. The power figures will remain similar to the outgoing model but a major bump can be seen in the fuel efficiency figures. The new engine will have two injectors per cylinder, which in turn will make its performance significantly better and more fuel efficient. It will be Maruti Suzuki’s first offering with the upgraded 1.5 litre dual-jet engine. The new Ertiga will most likely get the option of CNG as well, for the consumers concerned about rising fuel costs. However, the power figures of the CNG will be significantly lower as compared to the petrol counterpart.
Exterior and Interior design
The 2022 Ertiga facelift will carry a minimalistic design change and the overall appearance will remain the same for the most part. The design language and the dimensions will remain similar to the outgoing model. The updated Ertiga will get a redesigned front grille, and chrome garnish on the tailgate. The MPV will most likely get a new set of 16-inch alloy wheels. The choice of the consumers will be further enhanced by offering 2 new colour options. The dashboard layout will remain the same however few upholstery changes can be expected to give it a fresh look.
Features and Safety Equipment
To make the 2022 Ertiga Facelift relevant for the current market conditions, the homegrown automaker will equip the MPV with a slew of new features. The new 7.0 inch SmartPlay Pro infotainment system will be the major highlight with “Suzuki Connect” connected car technology. Other noteworthy features additions include Auto headlamps, cruise control, AC vents for all three rows and more. To enhance the safety of the vehicle, the MPV will be loaded with 4 airbags on the top trim along with electronics such as Hill Hold Assist, ESP and more.
